This is a popular contest and not open to professionals.
Registration can be done online or on-site at Arenal on the same day, starting at 10:30 AM.
Tortillas must be submitted between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Submitting outside this time will result in a penalty.
The registration number must be shown to collect your dish.
Cooking must be done using gas only, with a fireproof surface placed underneath.
Tortillas must be cooked in front of the public, in the festival area, with space occupied after 10:00 AM.
Bringing pre-cooked food will result in automatic disqualification.
Ingredients: potatoes, eggs, salt, oil, and optionally, onion.
The jury’s decision will be made by elimination and will be final.
Submitted dishes must be in good condition. The organization may reject entries that do not meet this requirement.
Participants must bring all necessary equipment themselves, which cannot be stored in the festival area afterward.
Participation in the contest implies acceptance of these rules and any additional ones imposed by the organization due to extraordinary circumstances
